Owner / Founder
Don Sloane, our founder, began his post-treatment career in 1984, educating EAP and HR professionals about effective responses to addiction. During that era, he was trained as an interventionist and began supporting families to find the help they needed. Over the years, he left full-time work in the recovery field to manage a computer science arm of Fannie Mae, run a consulting firm, and oversee restaurant franchises; but through it all, he did interventions. In 2009, he returned to full-time recovery care work. He incorporates much of his varied experience when working with clients, marrying a therapeutic lens with a systems one to help both families and businesses deal with addiction issues. Don is honored to be part of the recovery community.
Don holds a M.S. in Organization Development from The American University and National Training Laboratories (NTL), a B.S. in Computer and Information Science from The University of Maryland. Additionally, Don is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), is certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as well as The Profiler, a 360-degree performance assessment tool.
